Gatherings are in informal get-together for niMembers (Nottingham Institute members) and their guests for a bit of networking and a general catch-up with each other in a relaxed environment. Talks are a chance for niMembers and their guests to hear inspirational talks from industry greats. Workshops are a chance for niMembers and their guests to actively take part in an open learning workshop run to increase or improve your skill-set.

A new street market comprising of arts, crafts, street-food and drinks vendors providing a variety of locally produced products. With lots to see, do and taste, this occasional street market is definitely Nottingham’s treat!
26th February – niGathering
We are proud to announce the next niGathering will be held at the FatCats in Nottingham on 26th February 2014. The event starts at 5:30pm. The niGatherings are a great opportunity for members and non-members to meet and find out how they can work together. No-pressure networking with positive, friendly Nottingham businesses. If you have a particular challenge or idea you may need help or advice with – pop along for a drink and a chat, we’ll be happy to help.
28th February – Nottingham City Council Presents – Light Night
Nottingham Castle and other city locations – From 6pm onwards
Nottingham Castle will host exciting new entertainment, music, installations and projections for all ages. The theme of the event will link in with commemorations taking place across the country for the centenary of World War I. Enjoy spectacular projections onto the Castle wall, and visit the caves for a WWI singsong.
Entry to the Castle will be £4 per adult if bought in advance (£5 on the night), and children under 16 go free. Tickets can be purchased now from the Tourist Information Office on Smithy Row and from Nottingham Castle.
Light Night will also feature free activities and entertainment across the city centre, inside and out. Galleries, churches and the city’s cultural venues, including The Galleries Of Justice will be running a special Nottingham at Night programme.

As part of Light Night – The Nottingham Institute will be running a Secret Cave Tour at Nottingham Castle that is FREE for everyone. All you need to do is bring a phone or tablet with data and the free Aurasma App installed to access amazing free interactive content on this spooky, secret tour for all the family.
